FAQ’s

You can email us through our website here or call us at 519-302-2300 to speak to our front desk team.  Our admin team will ask you general information questions regarding the support you are looking for.  This will help them pair you with a therapist who is trained to work with the issues you would like support with.  They will then book you with an appointment that works for you.

Reaching out for help is not always easy and we want to make the process as simple as possible.

When you arrive, our receptionist will greet you and make sure you were able to fill out the intake forms electronically. Your therapist will then bring you into their office and you will begin by getting to know each other. This is an important first step as it helps build rapport and trust. The therapist will also go over the confidentiality and privacy agreement. Questions can be asked at any time, and are encouraged, as you and your therapist work towards creating goals that are both realistic and achievable. At the end, your therapist will walk you up to the front where you can book another appointment and pay for your session.

Individual sessions are $140+HST where applicable, couples/family sessions are $170+HST where applicable. For Equine sessions, psycho-educational assessments and our grief recovery program, a different fee structure is in place.

If you have extended health care benefits that you are looking to use towards the cost, please reach out to your provider to find out if they cover psychotherapy (counselling), social work (counselling) or psychology.

Unfortunately, our services are not covered by OHIP,
but we do work with Victim Services, NIHB and other outside agencies.

No, unless you have provided written permission, we cannot confirm or deny that you are a client at Brant Mental Health Solutions. Your privacy is important to us.

Although we try to fit you with a therapist who is best suited to work with the issues you are seeking therapy for, sometimes there are reasons you and your therapist do not connect. If this happens, you can speak to us about the issue and we will help you find someone else who might be better suited.

Fees are paid at the end of each session at the reception desk. We accept cash, debit, Mastercard, American Express and Visa.

If you need to cancel an appointment, please call 519-302-2300 to speak with a receptionist.  The receptionist can also reschedule a new appointment for you at that time.  To avoid paying a fee for a late cancellation or missed appointment we require notice by noon the day prior to your appointment.
